In Memory of Dad
Story
My wonderful, fun loving father passed away in September 2016 following a short and hard battle with pancreatic cancer. It is a terrible disease. It comes from nowhere and survival rates are horrendous.
Only 8% of Pancreatic Cancer patients survive more than five years and the median survival rate is between three and six months.
My dad lived for only 5 months from diagnosis, despite a rigorous regime of chemotherapy.
In loving memory of my beautiful dad and in an attempt to raise money to assist the Avner Pancreatic Cancer Foundation to fulfil its vision - "To break through 40 years of no progress by doubling the number of people who survive Pancreatic Cancer by 2020", myself, Mark, Cait and Luci will be participating in a beautiful walk along Manly beach - a place that my dad loved - on Sunday 6th August.
We welcome any contribution, great or small, that you can make!
Thank you.
